How to stay awake during class

Have you ever feel sleepy during class?Definitely i will answer "Yes,I am." I'm sure that everyone have this experience during lecture. I usually had problem with the class in the early morning that i have to drive to school that took around 30 minute journey without traffic conjunction. Just before class, we rolled out of bed, stumbled to the lecture hall class with our eyes barely open, and settled into a row of squishy seats in the lecture hall. By the way, we can usually found that sleeping in class can be problematic for teachers as it can affect your grades. Here's how to keep bright-eyed and avoid sleeping in the class.There are following ways from getting fall asleep during class.


First of all, we have to get a good night's before the night before. It may be hard to get us to go to bed at 9 but getting a full night's sleep (8-9 hours) is key to the rest of the day. We also have to used to sleep early to training our body to only sleep at night is essential. Beside than that, we also have to sacrifice our night activity with friends to hanging out here and there in the midnight although it is very happy moment with friends and yet we doesn't wan to sleep during class, so we have to reject every request from our friends unless during weekends or not having class on the next day.



On the other hand, we must not having empty stomach during classes which is in the early morning. Without it, a hungry stomach will affect our concentration during class because it keep annoying by coming out the sound "grow~~~" that is quite loud and it is not good for our body because of the acid in our stomach have begin to start function on hurting our stomach. That is how important for us to have breakfast. If you have problem to having what foods is most suitable for breakfast to not sleep during class, i advise to go for some healthy and energizing foods or drinks. We can go for eating healthy portions of fruits, cereal or oatmeal as it contains low carbs. It helps your body and mind not only rejuvenated due to loss of energy but to become more focused and you will be able to pay more attention during lectures throughout the class period. Beside than that, we can have some energy-boosted drinks, ''Red Bull'' or essence of chicken that helps to build our stamina and keep us energized during the class.Most importantly, we must not having oily foods such as nasi lemak, mee goreng and so on because it will causes us to feel sleepy and tired.



Furthermore, what we can do during class to stay awake is we position our self well in the classroom, sit in the front couple rows and not to sit behind that couldn't been seen. This is because we will have an eye-contact with our lecturer and we will keep alert to stay awake during she or him is teaching.We can participate in class discussions whenever you feel the need of dozing off. While some students believe that most lectures from their professors is a bore, there are a few that be quite thought-provoking and grab your interests to keep you mentally responsive of what is going on in the classroom. Just an example like one of the teacher in my secondary school, he usually like to walk like a woman and speak like a sissy.By watching how he walks, how he talks, how he acts. It is really funny, cause every teacher got something strange, and when I notice that strange thing, I can enjoy it. You all also can have a try on this.



In addition, we must also take down the notes with hand writing that wrote on the board but not to copy from our friends because we can train our brain and eyes to function together, so that we can not easily fall asleep during class.On the other hand, we can drink up some water during class because of dehydration can really wipe you out, so bring a water bottle to class with you. Neither soda nor alcohol (which is very dehydrating) is a good substitute for water to keep your body hydrated.



As the conclusion, we have to try every effort to stay awake during class because it is big impact to us if we doesn't pay attention during lecture. Besides, sleep during class also cause other student in the class being affected because sometime we might snoring even we didn't notice.By the way, above ways that might helps us to score better grade and also have healthy life.

    Thanks for the useful tips ^^ hehe

    The essay is good with adequate points and supporting details ^^ it is also very interesting especially when you included your own experience ^^

    Just the third main idea, the topic sentence at the beginning of the paragraph says we must take down notes but later in that paragraph it is about drinking water...it should be about HOW writing notes can help us stay awake in class... so maybe you should not put the topic sentence so precise but just say, there are some things that we can do when we are sitting in class, make it more general ya :)

    There are also some grammar stuff that I would like to point to you ya, but you have to make the correction :

    3. i have to drive to school that took around 30 minute journey without traffic conjunction. (conjunction is not the right word ya ^^)

    4. we can usually found that sleeping in class can be problematic for teachers...
